Make Friends at The Beacon Centre
The Beacon Centre is run for the Clayton, Beswick, and Openshaw communities. Throughout the week, we have enjoyable activities that our communities are looking for.
We’re a friendly bunch, so you can also be sure of a warm Beacon Centre welcome.
Below you can see some of the activities we have.
Some of Our Activities
These are just some of the activities we get up to at The Beacon Centre
Strictly Beacon
Monday evening is Strictly Beacon time with our fully-qualified dancing vicar. Beginners and experienced dancers are welcome, so come and have a go!
Paul's Fit and Fun
Paul's fabulous sessions are the most fun you can have on a Friday afternoon: all the cheesy songs, and all the actions, standing or seated, come and join us! Fully accessible for all abilities.
MenZone
Come on men, get yourself down to The Beacon Centre on a Thursday morning. There's tea and toast, darts, dominoes, cards and even table tennis if you're feeling sporty!
Coffee Morning
Come and enjoy a cuppa and some toast at our Friday Coffee Morning. The kettle's on!
About Us
The Beacon Centre has been renovated and a charity created to run it. It is a place where the community can meet up, either in parties or at one of our regular activities.
The Rev. Christopher Moore is the charity’s chairman and Kay Symcox is the Beacon Centre manager.
Why Come to Us?
We're Friendly!
You're sure of a warm welcome from your Beacon Centre manager, and her volunteers. Team Beacon is waiting to meet you!
We're Helpful!
We're here to help you, and if we can't provide the assistance you need, we will do our best to find you the advice that you need.
We're Community-minded
This is our community, too, and we're here to serve local people.
